(Routes are subject to change due to wind, weather, official regulations, etc.)
Your ship:
You will sail aboard a beautiful catamaran that offers comfort and stability.
Everything is prepared to welcome a maximum of 12 or 24 guests on board (+ crew consisting of 2 to 4 people). The cook and hostess also take care of setting and clearing the table before and after meals, a technician acts as deckhand, and the hostess is also your contact person for all questions relating to life on board. Please note that the cabins/bathrooms are not cleaned by the crew.
Catering on board
Dinner together: refreshments for the crew and team spirit
Meals are taken together. They are mainly served in the cockpit. Drinks on board (included in the price): still water, coffee, tea throughout the day.
Drinks package can be booked on request for an additional €95 per person – please send us an email to service@meinpep.de immediately after booking to add the drinks package.
Additional during breakfast: fruit juice.
Additional during meals: a local rum-based aperitif, table wine or 0.5l beer, soft drinks, fruit juice.
Additional drinks can be purchased on board for cash.
Barone also doesn't mind if you bring additional beer or other alcoholic beverages with you. The menus vary depending on what is available at the local markets or what the fishing has brought in.
The yacht and the crew
The sailing trips are conducted on comfortable catamarans between 15 and 24 meters in length. These have 6 or 12 guest cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom (shower/toilet) and a crew of between 2 and 4 people.
Your catamaran has a saloon (“living room”) with an integrated kitchen area and a large cockpit protected from wind and strong sunlight. This is where most of the communal life on board will take place.
The catamarans are equipped with the maximum safety equipment in accordance with the legal requirements of the respective countries (tracking system, life rafts, life jackets, etc.).
The skipper (captain) has a lot of experience in the sea area to be navigated and, of course, knows your ship very well. He will point out sights to you, introduce you to the country and its people, and show you the most beautiful swimming and snorkeling spots on your sailing yacht cruise through the Seychelles. You will swim and snorkel in turquoise blue water or relax on white sandy beaches while the cook prepares steaks or fish.
Your cabin
The catamarans have 6 to 12 double guest cabins, each with a wardrobe, reading light, fan, window, and toilet/shower with sink. Please note, however, that water on board must be used sparingly. Supplies are sufficient to allow each passenger two short showers per day.
Luggage:
The yacht is comfortable, but space in the cabins is limited. Please use travel bags instead of hard suitcases. These are much easier to stow away. If you still prefer to travel with a hard suitcase, we will assign you a place where it can be stored.
Important information about sailing yacht cruises
A valid passport must be carried in order to clear customs on the individual islands. (Travelers who are not EU citizens should contact us.)
The board cash must be paid before embarkation. The following expenses are paid from the board cash box: entrance fees for marine parks and islands, water, government environmental tax, etc. Please refer to the current price list for the amount of the board cash box. This is planned to be EUR 200 for departures in 2025 and EUR 210 from January 1, 2026.
During the trip, guests usually tip the crew €5-7 per day per passenger.
The first evening is intended for guests to get to know each other and “acclimatize.” Please note that guests arrive on different flights and may therefore board at different times. However, we cannot be held responsible if flight delays or cancellations cause travelers to arrive late. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before check-in time.
Even if your skin is used to the sun, please note that the sun's rays are more intense on board a sailing ship than on land. You will mostly be surrounded by a sea breeze, and when the wind is pleasant, you often don't notice the strong sun rays until it's too late. Therefore, it is also important to wear a sun hat that will not blow off your head at the first gust of wind. Don't forget your sunglasses, which are best secured around your neck with a strap. A sweatshirt is also advisable, or a long-sleeved shirt and long pants. For the first few days, you should use sunscreen with a high sun protection factor.
If you need to take medication, remember to bring enough with you from home, as it will be difficult to obtain comparable medication on the islands.
The islands visited do not have any special vaccination requirements.
Seasickness: Catamarans sail very steadily and upright, and the captain will always try to sail in calm waters. Nevertheless, the nature of sailing means that there are occasional waves. If you are prone to seasickness, you may wish to consult your pharmacy about which remedies you can bring with you and take if necessary.

Sailing maneuvers and life on board
Your experienced crew will take care of you throughout your trip through the Seychelles.
Participation in our sailing yacht cruise does not require any sailing skills or knowledge of how to handle a boat. Even people who are not athletically inclined can participate at any time and get to know the beautiful islands of the Seychelles. The captain is able to sail the boat all by himself. Nevertheless, even though this is not a sailing school trip, you will have the opportunity to learn something about sailing.
We welcome you to actively participate in life on board and help shape everyday sailing life. Please remember that this is a sailing trip on a catamaran, not a cruise ship with a large crew. Life on board is an active collaboration.
Depending on wind and weather conditions, it may be necessary to cover part of the cruise under engine power. This means that the two engines will bring the ship to its anchorage and the sails cannot be hoisted, or that the engine will also run under sail for stabilization and additional power supply. This is for the comfort of the entire crew.
Cell phones and Wi-Fi on board
You will normally have cell phone reception during the trip. However, this is not necessarily the case. Before you set off, you should check with your provider that your cell phone is activated for the region you will be traveling in. You should also find out about any roaming charges that may apply, as there is no Wi-Fi available on board. You can also purchase a Wi-Fi or SIM card with data volume locally.
There are no 220-volt outlets in the cabins. You can charge your cell phone, camera, etc. at the outlet in the saloon (navigation). Please do not leave your valuables unattended in the saloon overnight.
Safety regulations
It is strictly forbidden to bring weapons and drugs on board.
Please note that the ship may cross various national borders and that the water police occasionally search sailing ships as part of their fight against drugs. The captain also has the right at any time to expel persons from the ship who do not respect national regulations, carry drugs or weapons, disrupt life on board in any way, or expose the ship, guests, or crew to danger in any way. The captain is also instructed to inform the relevant authorities immediately in such cases. In such a case, or if the guest themselves wishes to leave the ship, no refund of the travel price will be made, nor will there be any entitlement to reimbursement of travel expenses.
Notes
Please note that a deposit of 50% is due immediately after booking and the remainder will be collected by us approximately 28 days before departure.
