Accessibility Statement for Services

As part of our accessibility declaration, we would like to give you an overview of the extent to which the services described below comply with the accessibility requirements according to legal regulations (in particular the German Accessibility Strengthening Act – BFSG).

Information about the Service Provider

Ebel Touristik GmbH

Geheimrat-Hummel-Platz 4

Hessen

General Description of the Service

Ebel Touristik GmbH operates the online travel portal meinpep.de, which exclusively offers travel deals to employees in the tourism industry. After free registration, tourism professionals gain access to heavily discounted PEP offers such as package holidays, cruises, holiday homes, flights, rental cars, transfers, and travel insurance – all bookable online.

Explanation of Service Implementation

After registration and activation, users gain direct access to exclusive PEP offers. The system aggregates products from various partners, including hotels, flights, car rentals, vacation homes, and transfers. Booking, payment, and service are handled digitally, supported by numerous third-party integrations. The platform specifically targets tourism industry employees.

Compliance Status

The above-mentioned service is partially compliant with the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG).

Non-accessible components of the service:

The meinpep.de web service is partially accessible.

Incompatibilities: Embedded videos (both self-produced and YouTube) are provided without subtitles or transcripts and are therefore not accessible to hearing-impaired users.

In addition, interactive booking, research, and review tools from external providers are integrated (TUI Cars rental cars, xmlteam GmbH cruises, Vtours transfers, Interhome vacation rentals, VERS[4u] travel insurance, TravelTrex ski/active holidays, TUI Deutschland camper rentals), over which Ebel Touristik GmbH has no control regarding accessibility.

Disproportionate Burden

Exception according to § 17 BFSG – Disproportionate burden

Retrofitting all videos for accessibility as well as technically enforcing third-party accessibility would represent a disproportionate burden:
The video content serves purely informational purposes. Fully preparing them (with subtitles and transcripts) would require significant financial and editorial resources. The video, image, and audio rights of all media lie with the respective rights holders and cannot be modified by us.

There is no control over the external tools, as they are provided by third-party vendors.

Accessible Alternatives

Meinpep.de plans to make future proprietary content as accessible as possible and to encourage technical improvements among third-party providers.

Non-accessible Parts – Implementation Timelines

We are working to include accessibility features (e.g., subtitles) for new audio and video content. We also aim to improve accessibility of the newsletter registration process. No specific implementation dates can currently be provided.

Creation of the Accessibility Statement
