Privacy policy of Ebel Touristik GmbH

For Ebel Touristik GmbH the protection of your privacy and personal data is of great importance. We also pay great attention to this aspect in the implementation of our internet activities. Our data protection practice therefore complies with the applicable data protection regulations as well as the legal requirements.

In order to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised third parties in the best possible way, we use technical and organisational security measures which we continuously optimise in accordance with technical and legal developments.

The use of our website is not possible without providing personal data, as registration is required. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

The use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation by third parties for the purpose of sending advertising and information material not expressly requested is hereby expressly prohibited. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example by spam mails.

Your rights

You have the right to free information about your stored data. This also includes the right to correct, block or delete the data we have collected. After a written request, you will be informed whether and which personal data we have stored about you. Please send your request by e-mail to: service@meinpep.de.

If you have specific questions about data protection, you can contact us at the following e-mail address: service@meinpep.de.

We would like to take this opportunity to explain to you what personal data we collect from you and what we use it for. We will also tell you how we protect your data, to whom we pass it on and how you can change your data.

What is personal data?
Personal data is information that can be used to discover your identity. This includes information such as your name, address, postal address, IP address, telephone number or e-mail address. Information that is not directly related to your real identity (such as favourite websites or number of users of a site) does not fall under this category.

What is anonymus data?
Every time the contents of our website are accessed, general information is automatically stored (e.g. number and duration of users of individual pages, etc.). This data is not personal and is therefore processed in anonymised form. Information of this kind is used exclusively for statistical purposes and is used by us to optimise our Internet offering.

What data do we collect from you?
We collect personal data from you in order to process the offers and services you have selected. This is done in particular when you book a trip arranged by us, but also, for example, when you fill in a form, participate in competitions, subscribe to a newsletter, take part in opinion polls, evaluate travel services and send e-mails or use online services.

Please note that personal data of fellow travellers may also be collected, especially when booking tourism services. You should therefore ensure that all information relating to third parties is provided with the consent of these persons.

How do we use and process your personal data?
The object of our company is the sale or brokerage of tourism services and the associated services, billing and services. Data is collected, processed and used for these purposes.

Insofar as we collect your personal data exclusively in the context of the use of our website, we use this data to structure the content of a contractual relationship for telemedia services and to improve the quality of our online service. When participating in competitions, we use your data to process these. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect and process your data to compile the content and to send it.

If your personal data is collected and processed in connection with the reservation or booking of a tourism service, we use it within the scope of the purpose of the contractual relationship to arrange the product and to process the associated services. The collection, processing and use of your personal data for advertising or market research purposes takes place exclusively within the framework of the legal provisions. You can object to the use of your data in this context at any time. In particular, whenever your data is used for advertising, market research or opinion polling purposes, we will inform you of your right to object at any time or provide you with a simple unsubscribe option (e.g. as a link).

To whom do we forward your personal information?
We forward your personal data to your respective contractual partner (e.g. tour operator, airline, hotel, travel agent, car rental company, billing and distribution system service provider or travel insurance company) for the purpose of executing and processing the tourism services arranged by us. Only when booking an original flight service do we forward your data to a credit rating agency.
In the context of competitions, we forward your data to the respective competition partner insofar as this is necessary for the redemption of a prize. In connection with the subscription to newsletters, we forward personal data to our service provider used for the dispatch. In connection with the use of online services, we forward your data to our online system service providers (operators of hosting systems, internet booking engines, mid-office systems, web analysis service providers, global distribution systems and marketing service providers). Our system service providers help us to constantly improve our offers and services for you.

We only pass on personal data to the extent permitted by law in cases where this is necessary to process your booking or the associated payment process. In all other cases, only anonymised data is forwarded, which does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

Personal data will only be collected or transmitted to state institutions and authorities within the framework of mandatory legal provisions. The sale of personal data, in particular addresses, to third parties expressly does not take place.

How do we protect your data?
In order to process your personal data as securely as possible, we always use the secure protocol SSL (Secure Socket Layer) for data transmission between your computer and our server, especially when booking a trip arranged by us. This means that the data transfer is encrypted in each case.

The storage of your personal data takes place exclusively in compliance with the legal regulations within the Federal Republic of Germany and the USA. For the storage of data in the USA, the Safe Harbour Agreement recognised by the EU also applies.

Insofar as we forward data to our service providers within the scope of the services described here, these service providers are bound by contractual provisions with us on the subject of data protection in addition to the mandatory statutory provisions.

How can I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, please click on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of your last newsletter. You also have the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter at www.meinpep.de in the "my account" section under "my data-my account".

Right to information / your rights
You are entitled, upon request and free of charge, to receive information about the data stored about you. Furthermore, you have the right to correct, delete or block incorrect data. Under certain circumstances, deletion may be precluded by legal regulations, in particular with regard to data for accounting and bookkeeping purposes.

Data processing office / data protection officer
Ebel Touristik GmbH is the data controller and service provider. For further information and contact details, please refer to our imprint. The rapid development of the internet makes adjustments to our data protection regulations necessary from time to time. You will be informed of any changes at this point.

Use of cookies
When you visit our website, information is stored on your computer in the form of a cookie within your browser software.
Information about your use of the website is stored in this cookie. The use of cookies makes it easier for you to use the functions, as we recognise your computer on a subsequent visit, thus making it easier for you to enter data repeatedly.

Important for travellers to the USA
Due to a US federal law on terrorist searches, airlines are forced to provide the flight and reservation details of each passenger to the US immigration authorities before entry. Without this data transfer, entry into the USA is not possible.

Links to other websites
Our online offer contains links to other websites. This data protection declaration does not extend to other providers. We have no influence on whether their operators comply with data protection regulations and therefore accept no responsibility for the accuracy, currency and completeness of the information provided there.
