Day 1 – Wednesday: Punta Cana Airport – Santo Domingo Old Town
You will be personally welcomed at Punta Cana Airport by your driver, holding a name sign outside the terminal. Then, enjoy your private transfer to the Old Town of Santo Domingo. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the oldest city in the New World.
If you are already staying in Punta Cana, the private transfer to Santo Domingo Old Town is included as well.

Day 2 – Thursday: Santo Domingo – Jarabacoa
Immerse yourself in Santo Domingo’s Old Town and discover the historic origins of the New World. At 10:00 AM, you’ll start the guided tour. After checking out, you can store your luggage in the vehicle – the driver will safely take care of it during the Old Town walk.
Visit the first cathedral and the first fortress of the Americas. Walk along the first street paved by colonial builders and have the opportunity to visit the Atarazanas Museum – a historic building that once housed shipyards, warehouses, and customs offices of the old Santo Domingo harbor. You’ll also see Casa del Cordón, one of the first stone houses in the New World, now home to the Taíno Cultural Center.
After the city walk, enjoy a lunch of typical Dominican dishes. Then, continue your journey to Jarabacoa, a small town surrounded by pine forests, rivers, mountains, and wide valleys. Known as a mountain resort, it’s a center for trekking enthusiasts and adventure sports lovers. Just before arriving at your hotel, take a relaxing walk through the mountainous landscape to one of the region’s famous waterfalls.

Day 3 – Friday: Jarabacoa – Santiago de los Caballeros – Punta Rucia
After breakfast, visit the traditional coffee factory Belarminio Ramírez e Hijos. On a guided tour of the facilities, learn how their famous coffee, Café Monte Alto, is produced.
Next, stop in the village of Jarabacoa to enjoy a typical local ice cream before continuing to Santiago de los Caballeros. Then, travel to Tamboril – the self-proclaimed “tobacco capital.” Stop at Cana’s Bistro for a simple but hearty buffet lunch. Afterwards, visit the legendary La Aurora cigar factory, founded in 1903 and one of the oldest and most prestigious in the Dominican Republic.
Finally, continue to Punta Rucia, a small and picturesque fishing village on the northern coast.

Day 4 – Saturday: Excursion to Cayo Arena
An unforgettable Caribbean experience awaits you at Cayo Arena, a tiny sandbank in the turquoise sea off Punta Rucia. Cruise out into the open sea by boat, where the sparkling white sand slowly emerges on the horizon. During your visit, enjoy swimming, snorkeling, photography, or simply marvel at this extraordinary natural spectacle.
On the way back, take a scenic detour through the surrounding mangroves. Back at the hotel, the afternoon is free for you. Your guide and driver will say goodbye – you have one more night to enjoy this special place at your leisure.
