The 1,800-square-kilometer Masai Mara Game Reserve offers the perfect mix for a three-day safari: miles of grasslands, purple hills, a meandering river, acres of thorn bushes and miles of rolling wilderness. Game viewing is possibly year-round in the Masai Mara, thanks to the diverse wildlife population, including the Big Five as well as popular species such as zebra, giraffe, hyena, eland and gazelle.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Your tour guide/driver will pick you up at 7 a.m. at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, give you a brief overview of your safari, and then drive on to the Masai Mara National Reserve. You’ll make a brief stop at the escarpment of the Great African Rift Valley, where you can stretch your legs a bit. You’ll then continue on to the camp, taking a game drive through the reserve along the way. Upon arrival at the camp or lodge, you’ll check in, have lunch, and go on a game drive in the reserve in the late afternoon.
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp/lodge.
Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, you’ll set out on a full-day game drive in the reserve, during which a picnic lunch will be served. You’ll have the opportunity to observe various animal and bird species, and you might even be lucky enough to see the “Big Five.” Afterward, you’ll return to the camp, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve to Mombasa
Unfortunately, this is already the last day of the safari. After breakfast, you’ll be taken to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your return flight.

Notes
The Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) has been required for travel to Kenya since 05.01.2024.
New Mandatory Insurance for Kenya Starting in October 2026
