Pilot Beach Resort is a charming hotel with a traditional architecture of stone and wood in a beautiful natural setting between the White Mountains and the sea. The resort offers the unique traditional Cretan hospitality with the comfort of a state of the art hotel.
Location
On one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Crete, 1 km to the village of Georgioupolis, 2 km to the village of Kavros, 21 km to the city of Rethymnon, 38 km to the city of Chania and 98 km to the city of Heraklion.
Hotel facilities
The hotel has 450 rooms in small residences (bungalows of various types) on 15 hectares of land (150,000 m2), located on both sides of the coastal road (private underpass). There are bars, cafeteria, Internet access and Wifi access (free of charge), games room, lounge TV/satellite, jewelry store, mini market, hairdresser.
International entertainment program during the day with sports activities such as water gymnastics, water polo, boccia, archery, beach volleyball, soccer and in the evening Greek night, magician evening, dance and animation shows.
Rooms
Superior Bungalow Pool View: 30m², 2-4 persons, 1 double bed or 2 single beds, sofa bed and 1 extra bed/baby crib on request, shower, pool view, first floor or second floor.
All rooms are equipped with: Bathroom amenities, hairdryer, make-up mirror, bathtub or shower, balcony or terrace, telephone, bathrobes and slippers, safe (free of charge), fridge-minibar on request, kettle with coffee and tea, TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi connection, individually controlled temperature
Board
The leading board type is half board.
Half-board guests can choose between the buffet restaurants listed below without prior reservation:
- Kronos main restaurant: breakfast and dinner
- Ariadni Restaurant with Italian corner: dinner
- Gialos Beach Restaurant: breakfast and dinner (excluding evening events)
The resort has 4 restaurants and 2 bars:
- Main restaurant “Kronos”: an impressive restaurant with exceptional views of the central hotel pool and the Cretan archipelago. It offers a buffet menu inspired by Mediterranean and international cuisine with a cooking and grill show.
- Greek themed restaurant “Ariadne”: Overlooking the hotel's central pool, it offers an exceptional taste of Greek cuisine from all over Greece in an exclusive setting. The appetizers, salads, hot starters and desserts are served buffet style and the main menu consists of a choice of 3 courses, one of which is vegetarian.
- Italian corner and children's buffet: with an excellent view of the hotel's central pool, where the Italian chef and his assistants prepare pasta and pizza during show cooking. Children are welcome (free up to 13 years) for lunch in the delicious Italian corner. The children's buffet, specially designed for our younger guests, offers delicious, healthy menus, baby food, pizza, pasta, ice cream and desserts. During the day there is a selection of children's dishes, meals and snacks.
- Beach restaurant “Gialos”: Overlooking the hotel's pool and the Cretan archipelago. It offers a selection of Greek specialties, exceptional delicacies from the grill and a rich selection of salads, hot and cold starters, main courses and fruit, desserts and drinks.
- A la carte restaurant “Almyra” Fish and Sushi: Combines local specialties with fresh fish and Japanese sushi traditions, accompanied by exclusive wines on a panoramic terrace with stylish design, located between the sea and the mountains. Open from June to September
- Lobby Bar Dionyssos: The elegant lobby bar has a spacious terrace with a stage for evening entertainment, overlooking the pool and is connected to the large and cozy lobby lounge and bridge room.
- Avra beach bar: Located directly on the beach and close to the swimming pool, it offers spectacular views. It offers a unique view of the blue horizon of the Mediterranean Sea.

Sports & Wellness
The hotel has 4 outdoor freshwater pools with direct access to the bungalows around the pools and an indoor freshwater pool (heated at the beginning and end of the season. You can play various sports such as beach volleyball, soccer, darts, Zumba, fitness classes and much more. There is also a pool table (for a fee), 2 artificial tennis courts (for a fee) with lighting and equipment hire.
OLIVE SPA CENTER : Modern spa center (extra charge) which includes: 3 color therapy massage rooms, beauty salon with its own oasis, manicure and pedicure room with special massage chair, body shaping room with Ultra Tone ultrasound machine and vacuum massage, Starvac, Thermo SPA room, Thalasso room, Vichy shower cabin, modern “Florida” hydroxeur bath, a unique Thermo Suite (with sauna, bio sauna, experience showers and steam bath), private gym.
