The Monverde Wine Experience Hotel is idyllically located among the vineyards of Quinta de Sanguinhedo in the Vinho Verde region near Amarante. Location
The hotel is located in Telões near Amarante, surrounded by the vineyards of Quinta da Lixa. The historic centre of Amarante, including São Gonçalo Bridge, São Gonçalo Church and the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Museum, is around 7 km away. Porto can be reached in less than an hour.

The hotel, which was built around the owners' historic family home, impresses with its stylish, modern architecture made of natural stone and wood, and has won international awards for its high-quality interior design. The 29 guest rooms are spread across several buildings, tastefully furnished in a minimalist style, and some open onto balconies or terraces with stunning views of the countryside. Other highlights include the restaurant's excellent regional cuisine, accompanied by top wines from the region and other parts of Portugal, a beautiful swimming pool with a panoramic terrace, and an equally inviting spa area.

Rooms
All rooms are individually designed and combine contemporary elements with the original character of the property. Facilities include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, safe, minibar, kettle, tea and coffee-making facilities, mineral water, TV, hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers.
Classic Room: Cosy rooms located in the renovated original buildings of the estate. The traditional stone walls have been preserved, giving the rooms a distinctive character.
Prestige Room: The approximately 27 m² rooms are located in separate accommodation buildings. Ground-floor rooms offer direct access to the vineyards and a shared terrace.
Charming Room: The approximately 27 m² rooms are located on the ground floor and feature a relaxing area with a freestanding bathtub. Depending on their location, they offer views of the garden or vineyards.
Wine Experience Suite: The spacious approximately 50 m² suite is located in a separate building and features a separate living area with sofa bed, fireplace, private wine cellar and a private outdoor area with infinity pool.

Board
At Monverde Restaurant, you can enjoy Portuguese and regional specialities prepared with local ingredients and complemented by carefully selected wines. The restaurant is led by Chef Carlos Silva. Breakfast is already included in the room rate.
Wellness
The Wine Experience Spa focuses on the connection between wellness and wine. Enjoy relaxing Vinésime treatments and wellness facilities including an indoor pool, aqua circuit, sauna and Turkish bath. A seasonal outdoor pool is also available for relaxing moments.
A highlight of the hotel is its range of wine experiences. During wine tastings, you can discover the wines of Quinta da Lixa and learn more about the grape varieties of the Vinho Verde region. Depending on the experience, vineyard tours, bike rides, picnics and other wine-themed activities are also available.
