Bukela Game Lodge is an exclusive 5-star safari lodge in the malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve, combining luxurious comfort with an authentic safari experience. Stylish suites and safari tents, personal service, and exciting game drives make it the ideal retreat for unforgettable African moments.
Location
The lodge is secluded in the malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve in South Africa's Eastern Cape, about an hour from Port Elizabeth – nestled in unspoiled bushland with sweeping views over valleys and wilderness.
Facilities
This game lodge features a stylish main lodge with a restaurant, bar, and cozy lounge with a fireplace, a spacious sun deck with two pools and views of the surrounding nature, as well as individually designed suites and luxurious safari tents with private terraces, indoor and outdoor showers, air conditioning, wood-burning stoves, and high-quality furnishings. The offer is complemented by personal service, free Wi-Fi in the common areas, and an exclusive safari atmosphere. The lodge is also equipped with power generators.
The room rate also includes meals, selected house drinks, and two game drives per day.

Bukela Game Lodge offers relaxation and activity in the heart of the wilderness: relax by the outdoor pool, enjoy spa treatments in a private atmosphere, or use the sun deck for yoga and meditation, while guided game drives and nature walks provide active safari experiences.
Board
Guests are treated to exquisite regionally inspired cuisine in the lodge restaurant. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served, as well as snacks by the pool, complemented by fine wines and beverages in the bar—perfect for an enjoyable safari experience.

Safari-Program
The safari programs at Bukela Game Lodge offer guests an authentic Big 5 experience in the malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve. The stay usually includes two guided game drives per day (morning and afternoon), during which experienced rangers take guests on wildlife viewing tours in open 4×4 vehicles and, with a little luck, show them elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalos, and other fascinating wild animals. In addition to classic game drives, guests can also enjoy night drives, guided bush walks, bird watching tours, or other additional activities such as stargazing to discover the reserve's diverse flora and fauna even more intensively. Furthermore, sundowner stops, boat and canoe trips on the Bushman's River, as well as spa and wellness offerings invite guests to relax after their safari adventure.

Bukela Game Lodge is located in a private game reserve. As the grounds are not completely fenced in, we ask guests to observe the animals respectfully from a safe distance and to follow the guides' instructions.
All guests are required to sign an indemnity form upon arrival.
The Amakhala Game Reserve reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any guest whose behavior negatively affects other guests or staff.
