Located in the heart of the malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve, Safari Lodge is a classic safari lodge that combines comfort, rustic elegance, and authentic wildlife viewing. Surrounded by vast plains and typical African bushland, it offers the perfect base for unforgettable safari experiences in South Africa.
Location
The Safari Lodge is centrally located in the Amakhala Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, about an hour's drive from Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). The location in this private game reserve allows for guided game drives in open safari vehicles several times a day, offering excellent chances of seeing the Big Five and numerous other wild animals. The varied environment with rivers, open grasslands, and acacia bushes also provides excellent conditions for bird watching and nature photography.

The Safari Lodge is a comfortable and inviting lodge that combines traditional African atmosphere with functional amenities:

The room rate includes meals, selected house drinks, and two game drives per day.

- Luxury Suite: Some of the suites feature tent walls, creating an intense nature experience without compromising on comfort. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, comfortable beds, mosquito nets and Wi-Fi connection. A terrace or veranda with views of the surrounding wilderness and a private plunge pool offer a very special highlight.

Board
The meals at the Safari Lodge are tailored to the daily safari schedule. A hearty breakfast is served in the morning, followed by lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. In the evening, guests enjoy a multi-course dinner with regional and international influences, which is served in the dining area or outdoors, depending on the weather. The kitchen emphasizes fresh ingredients and warm presentation, accompanied by South African hospitality. Snacks and refreshments complement the safari activities.

Safari-Program
The highlight of your stay will be the game drives that take place several times a day in open safari vehicles, accompanied by experienced rangers who will explain the flora, fauna, and animal behavior. The focus is on:
- Early morning safaris
- Evening safaris / sunset drives
- Opportunities to observe the Big Five and other wildlife
- Optional additional activities (depending on the season and what the reserve has to offer)

The Amakhala Game Reserve reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any guest whose behavior negatively affects other guests or staff.
